Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or is awarded International Quality Hotel of the year and Canadian Hotel of the year!

The Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or has been honoured for its commitment to service excellence as a recipient of the International Quality Hotel of the year, awarded by Choice Hotels International, Inc., and Canadian Hotel of the year, awarded by Choice Hotels Canada during the 2014 International Choice Hotels Convention that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 14th 16th, 2014.

These awards are in addition to the awards already won by the hotel this year listed below:

– 2014 Platinum Award from Choice Hotels Canada.  To qualify for a Platinum Award, a property must be among the top three per cent of more than 300 hotels in Canada. Hotels are ranked based on a variety of criteria, including guest surveys and third party reviews that look at the condition of guestrooms and the property.

– 2014 APEX Awards from Choice Hotels Canada.  These awards comprises of a variety of categories that recognize properties by region. Categories included the Highest and Most Improved Guest Satisfaction, Most Improved Room Condition, Greatest RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) Growth, Highest Choice Privileges Elite Recognition and highest Choice Privileges Enroller Rate, which both focus on the Choice Hotels Canada loyalty program.

– 2 awards won by employees of the hotel in 2014 at the Regional “Grands prix du tourisme québécois” Gala and finalists at the National “Grands prix du tourisme québécois” Gala.
