Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or Receives Green Key Global 3rd Party Sustainability Certification

Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or is proud to announce that it has been awarded the coveted Green Key Global Sustainability Certification.
Green Key Global is a certification program that specializes in sustainability for hotels and lodging. The program focuses on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Green Key Global has assisted numerous hotels in obtaining certification, adding credibility to their sustainability claims and providing them with the necessary resources to enhance their sustainability efforts.
“We are thrilled to receive the Green Key Global Sustainability Certification,” said Alexandre Audet, General Manager. “We are committed to creating a sustainable future for our guests, staff and our community. This certification is a testament to our efforts, and we will continue to lead the way in sustainable hospitality.”
A Green Committee has been formed among staff. The hotel has put in place several policies and operating procedures to achieve this certification. For example, a waste register, the compilation of energy consumption and the replacement of individual shampoos and lotions by bulk dispensers. In addition, each of the guestrooms is equipped with an energy-saving system that turns off all lights when the room is vacant.
As the world becomes more conscious of its impact on the environment, Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or is taking leadership in sustainable hospitality. The hotel received the Eco-responsible award at the most recent Gala of the Val-d’Or Chamber of Commerce.
