Quality Inn & Suites in Val-d’Or wins 11th Platinum Guest Satisfaction Award

Choice Hotels Canada is pleased to announce that the Quality Inn & Suites in Val-d’Or has won its 11th Platinum Guest Satisfaction Award.

Since opening in 2011, the hotel has earned six Awards for Property Excellence, two Gold Guest Satisfaction Awards, and now its 11th Platinum Award from Choice Hotels Canada. Platinum winners are among the top three per cent of over 330 hotels from coast to coast and represent the best of the best in the Choice Hotels Canada portfolio. This award is determined largely by verified customer feedback through guest insight surveys and Likelihood to Recommend scores.

In addition, the hotel has received the prestigious honour of being named Choice Hotels Canada’s Hotel of the Year and the Choice Hotel’s International’s International Hotel of the Year for the Quality brand, not once, but twice.

The property’s owners, CREECO, announced at the end of 2023 that they would invest a multi-million-dollar sum in the property, to be carried out in two phases. The first phase is completed, with a renovation to the existing property, including an impressive overhaul of the rooms, the breakfast room, and updates to the lobby.

The second phase of construction scheduled to begin next month will include a substantial 42-room, 3-storey addition, including multiple extended stay suites with closed bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens. In addition, the property will add a 1,000 square feet conference room, a larger guest laundry room and an upgraded fitness room. The expansion will also include a new rooftop terrace.
